The Sharper Chef runs mobile — a truck, a route, and a mailbox — helmed by a guy who spent years on a stage and on the water before he ever picked up a whetstone.
How It Started
From St. Simons Island To Atlanta.
Before the truck and the stones, there was a microphone and a paddleboard — years spent as a professional vocalist and a paddleboard and kayak tour guide on St. Simons Island. Knife care started as a personal habit, then a favor for chef friends, then a full trade once I landed in Atlanta and Marietta working as an executive chef — sharpening, repairing, and restoring blades and tools for anyone who needed it done right. Same hands, new rig — restaurants, cafeterias, school kitchens, and markets on the route, plus a mailbox for everyone too far out to reach.

How We Work
One Truck. No Ticket Numbers.
A few things won't change, wherever the truck parks.
- The right tool for the job — belt sander, stone, or wet wheel — not whatever's fastest.
- You talk to the person sharpening your knife, not a counter clerk relaying it to a back room.
- Music on the speaker — blues, soul, and rockabilly. Ask nice and I might sing a bar or two; it used to be the day job.
- The flash sheets taped inside the van are real — pick one, and we'll engrave it on a board or a blade.
Mobile Service, Same Standards
Catch The Route Or Ship It In.
Catch the truck on its regular route through restaurants, cafeterias, and school kitchens, flag it down at a market, or ship your blades in for sharpening, repair, or restoration from anywhere. Regulars get a stool by the tailgate and a story. First-timers get the same edge.
